Stagg Party's Week 12 DFS

Pillar: RB, Kareem Hunt – FanDuel $7,700 / DraftKings $8,000

Kareem Hunt is in a great spot going up against the Buffalo Bills, who have been the worst since trading away Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Over the last three weeks, the Bills have allowed 45 fantasy points a game to opposing running backs in PPR scoring. The Bills have allowed nine rush touchdowns over that span and are giving up 5.6 yards per carry to opposing backs. On FanDuel, Hunt’s price is tough to beat and leaves room for you to play him in both cash and tournaments. In PPR leagues, Hunt has just one game with under double-digit  fantasy points and that game was 9.8 points. Hunt has been seeing 20+ opportunities on a weekly basis and should turn those into points this week.

Sleepers: RB, Carlos Hyde– FanDuel $6,600 / DraftKings $5,500

Carlos Hyde against Seattle seems like a place not many will want to go, but in tournaments he brings week winning upside against a defense that is beat up, especially in the back end. While Hyde might not benefit directly from the injuries, those injuries could lead to more sustained drives for the 49ers and in turn more scoring opportunities for Carlos Hyde. In their last matchup, Hyde went for 124 yards on just 15 carries and added 3 catches on 6 targets for 19 yards. Hyde’s involvement in the passing game gives him a nice floor, but also big upside in PPR leagues. Hyde hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 6, so we can say he is due to score a touchdown if we want to take a ride down narrative street.

Low Cost Dart Throw: WR, Sammy Watkins – FanDuel $5,900 / DraftKings $4,900

I know what you are going to say, Staggs you have tried to pull this trick on me before, and it is just not going to work. But there are strong reasons for it this week. The New Orleans Saints will be without their top two corner backs  on defense and they Rams will be without Robert Woods who has become Jared Goff’s favorite target as of late. The only time that Sammy saw more than SIX targets this season he went for over 100 yards and two touchdowns, and with what should be an influx of targets due to Woods’ injury Watkins could be in for a big day. Sammy has started to establish himself as a redzone presence for the Rams, scoring twice in his last three games, giving him a lot of appeal in GPP’s.

Fade: RB, Jordan Howard – FanDuel $7,500 / Draftkings $6,000

Jordan Howard will have a tough matchup against the Eagles, both in terms of game script and the opposing defense. The Eagles are allowing just 48.5 rushing yards a game to opposing running backs making Howard a tough sell for me. The Eagles are allowing nearly as many yards to running backs through the air as they do on the ground, and Tarik Cohen could see more work because we expect it. The Eagles should pile on the points, making it tough for the Bears to stick to the run game all day, and making Howard a touchdown or bust candidate.

ØC's Week 12 DFS

Pillar: WR, Brandin Cooks – DraftKings $7,100 / FanDuel $7,600

Cooks’ speed and the Patriots offense prowess were in full effect last Sunday in Mexico City. While Brady and the offense as a whole is always top notch, Cooks seems to be either really hot or really cold. After the international game and Brandin’s near 30 point fantasy performance, he stressed his wish to stay a Patriot for the remainder of his career. While I don’t see Cooks becoming a Randy Moss type for Brady and the gang, he can sure put up a similar performance as last weekend against the pedestrian Miami Dolphins in Foxboro.

Sleeper: RB, Tevin Coleman – DraftKings $6,500 / FanDuel $6,200

Coleman will once again be the lead dog for the Falcons against their division rivals in Atlanta. Although he was held to only 43 yards in Seattle, Coleman should have an easier go against a weak Tampa Bay defensive squad. Tevin should have had two touchdowns against the Seahawks, but one of his scores was short by less than a foot. He is receiving the goal line carriers and is always a threat out of the backfield, although Atlanta likes to use both Coleman and Ward in passing situations. On a lighter note, Coleman also just announced his wife gave birth to twins! Perhaps the new-found father power will put him over the top and vault your lineup to the top!

Dart Throw: RB, Devontae Booker – DraftKings $3,700 / FanDuel $5,500

Booker received 19 touches last week, by far the most of his season. Paxton Lynch was given the starting job at quarterback for Denver and we all know who the favorite target for “rookie” passers can be. Booker is the best pass catcher between Charles, CJA, and himself plus he was given the most carries out of all of them in Week 11. Oakland is not a great defense in general, let alone against the rushing attack so Booker should find some success.

Fade: QB, Drew Brees – DraftKings $6,900 / FanDuel $7,800

Drew Brees and the Saints are riding an eight-game winning streak, riding on the backs of stud running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Brees hasn’t needed to be the same ol’ gun slinger we’re used to and its shown in the last four games, averaging one touchdown and less than 300 yards passing. New Orleans will travel to Los Angeles to face another tough secondary, and once again the running game has the easier match-up. Look for the Saint to only pass when needed. Otherwise, there really won’t be a reason to pay up for Drew against the Rams.

QB, Matt Ryan – DraftKings $6,400 / FanDuel $7,600

d-Rx's Week 12 DFS

Pillar: QB, Tom Brady - DraftKings $7,700 / FanDuel $9,100

Today is Tom Brady's Ginormous game for the season. The day he single-handedly wins you the week. He has 1 or 2 every season, and something tells me today against the Dolphins is his MVP stamp performance.

Sleeper: WR, Corey Davis - DraftKings $4,900 / FanDuel $5,400

Every expert in the land is on this as I was on our Pyro Podcast earlier in the week. It just seems set up for Corey to arrive today. And that was before finding out Rishard Matthews would be inactive for Week 12, even more opportunity now.

Low Cost Dart Throw: WR, Martavis Bryant - DraftKings $4,000 / FanDuel $5,200

JuJu is out, and Martavis will be heavily involved. It's the week for Bryant to show that he is still a stud.

Fade: QB, Carson Wentz - DarftKings $7,200 / FanDuel $8,900

Everything has been flying high for Wentz, but the Bears are the third-best defense against QBs in DFS and are much tougher than you would think. I see this being a ground and pound game for the Eagles. Wentz will have his first average game in a while today.
