Stagg Party Week 13 DFS

Pillar: WR, DeAndre Hopkins – FanDuel $8,000 / DraftKings $7,300

DeAndre Hopkins has been on a tear this season, no matter who his quarterback has been. Hopkins has as many top-12 weeks as Antonio Brown this season but gets priced down by his quarterback play. In PPR, Hopkins has scored at least 17.6 fantasy points in each of his last five games and has just one game with under 9.9 points. Hopkins provides a nice floor to go with a multiple touchdown upside. The Titans allow the seventh most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and were torched by Hopkins for 10 catches on 12 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown earlier this season. Nuk’s been seeing a massive target share with Savage at the helm, and that should continue with the Titans on the docket.

Sleepers: TE, Evan Engram – FanDuel $6,900 / DraftKings $5,700

Evan Engram has underwhelmed over the last two weeks, totaling just 27 yards on 4 catches on 13 targets. This week, Engram gets the Oakland Raiders who have struggled with covering tight ends in the past, and are allowing the seventh most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. The Raiders have not allowed a 100-yard tight end on the and Engram has yet to have a 100-yard game in his career. Engram does possess reception volume and touchdown upside, while priced noticeably lower than the top tier options this weekend.

Low Cost Dart Throw: QB, Geno Smith – FanDuel $6,000 / DraftKings $4,500

Geno Smith is now the starter for the New York Giants after tearing the ball away from Eli Manning. Geno has had fantasy success in his career, and brings rushing upside that Eli Manning does not. Geno also has the benefit of a great matchup against the Raiders, who are turning average quarterbacks into Aaron Rodgers in terms of passer rating as they have just one interception on the season. In basically a half of football, Trevor Siemian threw for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns against no picks for god’s sake. On DraftKings, Geno is almost impossible for me to pass on, while on FanDuel it is a tad bit easier.

Fade: WR, Marvin Jones – FanDuel $7,100 / DraftKings $6,000

Marvin Jones has been one of the hottest receivers in football over the last five weeks, with the fourth most fantasy points among wide receivers over that span. Jones has been a mainstay among the top-12 during that span, but will have a tough matchup against the Ravens, despite just torching one of the best corners in the NFL, in Xavier Rhodes. In DraftKings scoring, the Ravens have allowed the fourth fewest points to opposing wide receivers. Just two wide receivers have topped 100 receiving yards against the Ravens this season, but both have happened in the last two weeks. The Ravens five receiving touchdowns allowed this season, are the second fewest on the season, and outside of the Jacksonville game in London the  haven’t allowed more than 27 points in a game this season.

ØC's Week 13 DFS

Pillar: RB, Todd Gurley - FanDuel $8,800 / DraftKings $8,200

Although the Cardinals are a tough matchup for RBs, the Rams are fifth in total yards and top ten in rushing. Gurley who is a viable comeback player of the year candidate also torched the red birds earlier this season for 154 total yards and a touchdown. Even though Todd hasn’t reached the century mark since then, he’s still receiving 15+ touches per game. The Rams are by no means locked for a playoff spot just yet which means all weapons will be utilized, including the Todd Father.

Sleeper: WR, Robbie Anderson - FanDuel $7,200 / DraftKings $6,300

There is a difference in chasing points and “riding the hot hand”. Anderson has five straight games of double digit fantasy performances and six touchdowns in those games. He’s torched both bad a good secondaries both home and away and now has a matchup against the reeling KC Chiefs at home. Anderson now has a report with McCown, especially in the red zone and should produce another six reception type performance with a score.

Dart Throw: QB, Brett Hundley - FanDuel $6,400 / DraftKings $5,100

Hundley put up a solid 20+ FF point performance on the road against Pittsburgh last week which gives a slight glimmer of hope into his future. His report with Davante Adams is shining through the Rodgers-less muck in Green Bay and Week 13’s opponent (Tampa) is a bottom three defense against fantasy quarterbacks. While you can’t rely on Hundley to put up three or four scores with 300 yards passing, you can reach the 20 FF point threshold which will allow you to pay more for studs in other positions.

Fade: RB, LeSean McCoy - FanDuel $ 8,200 / DraftKings $7,600

McCoy was held out of Friday’s practice due to knee soreness and the Bills face the Patriots at home. The Pats should force recently benched QB Tyrod Taylor to beat them with his lackluster arm and C-list receiving corps, stacking the box and shadowing McCoy wherever he goes. LeSean should get the touches, but against a Belichick defense…nothing is ever so easy.

Stack

WR, Robbie Anderson - FanDuel $7,200 / DraftKings $6,300

QB, Josh McCown - FanDuel $7,700 / DraftKings $5,500
