Stagg Party Week 16 DFS

Pillar – Ezekiel Elliott – FanDuel - $8,300 / DraftKings - $8,000

Zeke returning from suspension with fresh legs and his team still sporting some playoff hopes? Welp, time to slot Zeke into my lineup. In his 8 games played this season Zeke has been a top-12 running back in every game except for one. We just saw Todd Gurley trounce the Seahawks and now it is Ez-E’s turn. The offensive coordinator has confirmed Zeke is going to get a big workload, but if you needed that information you must not have been following along.

Sleepers: TE, Greg Olsen – FanDuel - $6,600 / DraftKings - $5,200

Greg Olsen finally looked healthy last week and put on an absolute show, having one of the most impressive tight end performances of the season before being upstaged by Gronk later in the day. Olsen was getting open whenever he wanted and now is taking on a Tampa Bay team down a few linebackers.  Olsen should be able to feat, especially with the team’s best receiving option, Devin Funchess banged up heading into the weekend. The Bucs looks tough on paper against opposing tight ends, but injuries on both sides should lead to a big game for Olsen.

Low Cost Dart Throw: WR, Tyrell Williams – FanDuel - $5,400 / DraftKings - $4,500

Tyrell has been an up and down play this season with two huge games and a bunch of duds. With Hunter Henry who had been ascending now out for the season, now is the time for Tyrell to take over a bigger target share like last season when he was able to gallop through defenses.  Williams tied his season high in targets last week with 7. Tyrell is a big play waiting to happen and should see plenty of opportunites against the Jets who are in the bottom half of the league at defending opposing wide receivers.

Fade: WR, Julio Jones – FanDuel - $8,500 / Draftkings - $7,900

Julio Jones is banged up yet against and has another tough test against Marshon Lattimore who has been one of the best corners in the league this season. With a tough corner draping, all over him the last time these two teams played, Julio was able to tally 98 receiving yards but was held out of the endzone. In man coverage however, Lattimore got better as the game went along. Look for this to be a tough battle and with a low touchdown expectation it is hard to put it all on the line for Julio this week.

ØC's Week 16 DFS

Pillar: WR, Keenan Allen - DraftKings $7,700 / Fan Duel $8,300

Allen was on a four game stretch of 20+ FF points until last Saturday when the entire Chargers offense put up a dud. LA is on the road, but this is also a must win matchup against a bottom tier secondary in the New York Jets. Hunter Henry is out for the season with an injury, freeing up the 7-9 targets per game for the receiving corps. Keenan needs 12 receptions to reach the century mark on the season and needs to keep up the recent success to possibly win “Comeback Player of the Year”. Both Tyrell Williams and Allen are great starts this week for the Chargers in must win situations.

Sleeper: RB, Bilal Powell - DraftKings $4,000 / FanDuel $5,400

The Jets host the Chargers in New York this weekend, and everything is coming up roses for Powell’s work load. Matt Forte is nursing an injury and the Chargers have a very weak rush defense. Bryce Petty is leading the Jets offense, and if NY wants to legitimately play the spoiler role, they should limit Petty’s passing attempts. Powell is a threat out of the back field and usually does the most damage against stout passing defenses. Case in point, Powell’s 32 FF point performance against the Jaguars in the early part of the season.

Dart Throw: TE, Eric Ebron - DraftKings $3,700 / FanDuel $5,200

Eric Ebron is enjoying a two game streak of 14+ FF points which includes 15 total receptions and 18 total targets. He only has three scores on the season, but this is by far the best two game stretch of his 2017 campaign. The Lions are in a must win situation on the road in Cincinnati, but the Bengals rank 27th against fantasy tight ends. He and Stafford have been on the same page recently and I think you should put him on your roster at the discounted rate.

Fade: WR, Julio Jones - DraftKings $7,900 / FanDuel $8,500

Jones has regressed to the 7-10 FF point range after his Week 12 explosion, frustrating owners and daily rosters. Julio can win your contest at any time, but the offensive struggles of Matt Ryan have really hampered the opportunities for Jones and the passing game in general. Normally, Julio has better games at home and Week 16’s contest is on the road against the rookie Phenom defensive back Marshon Lattimer. This matchup will be heated, chippy, and full of hate, especially after the last contest in Atlanta on Thursday Night Football. There are a lot of top receivers this weekend that are either hurt or have tough matchups, so look to grab their backup at a discounted price and bulk up in other positions.
