ALL PLAYERS LISTED ARE OWNED IN 70% OR LESS OF CBS LEAGUES

QUARTERBACKS

RYAN FITZPATRICK – BUCCANEERS – AVAILABLE IN 97% OF CBS LEAGUES

Fitzmagic was back in early season form, where he dominates in his career. In now 24 career starts in the month of September, Fitzpatrick has a record of 15-9. In those 24 games he has completed 61.6% of his passes for 5,059 yards with 43 touchdowns and 32 interceptions, rushed 84 times for 311 yards with another two scores. He went off on the Saints this week for 417 yards with four passing touchdowns and another on the ground. His time is limited until Winston returns, but if you need help now this is his month.

ANDY DALTON – BENGALS – AVAILABLE IN 60% OF CBS LEAGUES

The Red Rifle had a good game throwing for 243 yards with two touchdowns, one interception and completing 75% of his passes. The good news for Dalton is that Joe Mixon looks much better in the lead role this year, and the lack of a running attack really hampered Dalton last year. A Health Tyler Eifert, and the growth of John Ross are all reasons to think about Dalton as a good option if you need help at quarterback.

CASE KEENUM – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 61% OF CBS LEAGUES

Case had an up and down game, but finished throwing for 329 yards with three touchdowns, but also three interceptions. There is no chance that Keenum is going to lose his job anytime soon, so while there will be some inconsistency, he will have a chance for some nice numbers with the weapons in place in Denver.

RUNNING BACKS

KENNETH DIXON – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 96% OF CBS LEAGUES

This is a situation where I am reading the Tea Leaves and I am seeing Dixon taking over as the lead back before long. Lots of experts were high on Alex Collins, but he did not look good against the Bills rushing for 13 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Then there is Dixon who had 13 carries for 44 yards and also scored a touchdown. Dixon has more upside than Collins and should be added immediately if you own Collins, and is otherwise a smart guy to grab this week before the rest of Fantasy is gobbling him up.

AUSTIN EKELER – CHARGERS – AVAILABLE IN 38% OF CBS LEAGUES

Austin Ekeler showed that he is going to be a nice complement to Melvin Gordon this year with his performance in Week 1. Ekeler had five carries and gained 39 yards, but really did major damage as a receiver, catching all five of his targets for 87 yards with a touchdown. Austin provides Rivers the outlet out of the backfield that he has been missing since Darren Sproles left many years ago. If you are in a PPR league you should grab him now.

T.J. YELDON – JAGUARS – AVAILABLE IN 77% OF CBS LEAGUES

Leonard Fournette left Week 1 with what has been called both a hamstring and an ankle injury. Either way, it seems that the injury is not as bad as feared and Fournette may be able to return next week. That being said it is not good news to have an injury of either kind this early in the season and Yeldon is the next in line if Fournette misses time. T.J. had 14 carries for 51 yards and three receptions for 18 yards with a score in replacement of Fournette in Week 1.

PHILLIP LINDSAY – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 98% OF CBS LEAGUES

Everyone knows about Royce Freeman, but its time to get to know Phillip Lindsay. Both Freeman and Lindsay ran the ball 15 times for 71 yards, but Lindsay was a factor in the passing game, catching two passes for 31 yards with a touchdown. This is a not a great sign for Freeman owners, and it will be interesting to see how their carries are split in Week 2. There is not a lot out there at the running back position, and there is a lot of upside from what we saw in Week 1.

FRANK GORE – DOLPHINS – AVAILABLE IN 75% OF CBS LEAGUES

If you are in a deep league and need some consistent points, Gore continues to show he still has life in his legs. He carried the ball nine times for 61 yards in Week 1. The glory days are gone, but he can still help out if you are desperate.

WIDE RECEIVERS

GERONIMO ALLISON – PACKERS – AVAILABLE IN 61% OF CBS LEAGUES

It’s always the third receiver for Aaron Rodgers that does damage, and Allison demonstrated that on Sunday Night against the Bears, catching five of eight targets for 69 yards and a touchdown. The Packers struggled to run the ball and Allison is was targeted a lot by Aaron Rodgers.

DESEAN JACKSON – BUCCANEERS – AVAILABLE IN 66% OF CBS LEAGUES

Yes I am aware that Jackson has a concussion and may not play in Week 2, but did you see him in Week 1? He caught five passes for 146 yards with two scores. DJAX is and has always been a deep threat, and while he did not hit his stride last year, he got off to a hot start this year.

CHRIS GODWIN – BUCCANEERS – AVAILABLE IN 69% OF CBS LEAGUES

So, if DJAX misses time Godwin is the receiver you want to grab. He was only targeted four times in Week 1, but hauled in three of them for 41 yards with a touchdown. Jackson left the game late, so there was no positive impact in the stat line for Godwin. He will have a chance for more targets in Week against the Eagles if Jackson misses the game.

TED GINN JR. – SAINTS – AVAILABLE IN 57% OF CBS LEAGUES

Ginn showed his value to the Saints offense in Week 1, catching five passes for 68 yards with a touchdown on six targets. Michael Thomas is the main weapon in the passing game, but especially without Ingram the Saints are throwing the ball more, and Ginn is getting single coverage all the time, and Brees has faith in him and will give him at least one deep shot per game.

PHILLIP DORSETT – PATRIOTS – AVAILABLE IN 90% OF CBS LEAGUES

Phillip Dorsett finally made a fantasy impact, and looked good doing it. He was targeted seven times by Brady and caught all of them for 66 yards including a touchdown. He saw more targets than Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan. Dorsett has a chance to carve out a nice role in the offense in the role that Brandin Cooks had last year. If he gets open, Brady will find him.

TYLER LOCKETT – SEAHAWKS – AVAILABLE IN 59% OF CBS LEAGUES

Doug Baldwin is out with a sprained MCL and that means that Lockett is the most likely to step in and see an uptick in production. In Week 1 he caught three passes for 59 yards with a touchdown. Brandon Marshall is also available, but Lockett has more upside going forward with his bigger play ability.

MIKE WILLIAMS – CHARGERS – AVAILABLE IN 46% OF CBS LEAGUES

Williams was a factor in Week 1, catching five passes for 81 yards on six targets. He outperformed Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin and looks to be a bigger part of the Chargers passing attack this year. He is worth a grab with Rivers gaining trust in the young receiver.

DANTE PETTIS – 49ERS – AVAILABLE IN 97% OF CBS LEAGUES

Marquise Goodwin left Week 1 with a quad injury, which opens the door for Pettis to have a bigger role. He was targeted five times and caught two of them for 61 yards with a touchdown. Depending on how long Goodwin is out, Pettis is nice flier in deeper leagues.

RYAN GRANT – COLTS – AVAILABLE IN 91% OF CBS LEAGUES

Grant was a big part of Colts passing game on Sunday, as he finished with nine targets, which was third most on the team behind Hilton and Doyle. Grant was effective, catching eight of those targets for 59 yards. Grant is very under the radar, and the Colts are struggling to run the ball, so his chances will continue.

COLE BEASLEY – COWBOYS – AVAILABLE IN 88% OF CBS LEAGUES

Beasley was the favorite target for Dak Prescott in Week 1, catching seven of eight targets for 73 yards. The Cowboys lack depth at receiver, and Beasley is the best quick route option that Dak has, which makes him a nice add in PPR formats.

OTHER TO CONSIDER

COURTLAND SUTTON – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 64% OF CBS LEAGUES

DEDE WESTBROOK – JAGUARS – AVAILABLE IN 74% OF CBS LEAGUES

WILLIE SNEAD – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 97% OF CBS LEAGUES

JOHN BROWN – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 53% OF CBS LEAGUES

ALBERT WILSON – DOLPHONS – AVAILABLE IN 98% OF CBS LEAUGES

TIGHT ENDS

GEORGE KITTLE – 49ERS – AVAILABLE IN 31% OF CBS LEAGUES

If Kittle is available in your league and you need a tight end he should be your top priority. Jimmy G loves throwing him ball as evidenced by his nine targets in Week 1. He hauled in five of those for 90 yards, and if Goodwin misses time he will see even more targets.

WILL DISSLY – SEAHAWKS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAUGES

Russell Wilson has found his new tight end target in Dissly. He targeted him five times in Week 1 and he caught three of them for 105 yards with a touchdown. His target share should remain high in Week 2 against the Bears with Doug Baldwin likely out for this game and potentially a lot longer.

ERIC EBRON – COLTS – AVAILABLE IN 48% OF CBS LEAGUES

Ebron looks happy in Indianapolis. He was targeted five times in Week 1, and caught four of them for 51 yards with a score. The Colts are weak in the running game, and Ebron should see a good amount of targets on a weekly basis.

JONNU SMITH – TITANS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES

Delanie Walker may be done for the year and Smith is the candidate to take his job. He was targeted three times in Week 1, catching one of those for 12 yards. The upside is that Walker is out, not that Smith is really good.

IAN THOMAS – PANTHERS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES

Greg Olsen was in a walking boot, and Thomas is the only tight end of note on the roster right now. He only caught two passes for four yards, but he will see a bigger workload going forward. He should only be added in deeper leagues.

AUSTIN HOOPER – FALCONS – AVAILABLE IN 78% OF CBS LEAGUES
