ALL PLAYERS LISTED ARE OWNED IN 70% OR LESS OF CBS LEAGUES

QUARTERBACKS

MITCH TRUBISKY – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 42% OF CBS LEAGUES

Trubisky is still available in some leagues and maybe that is because the Bears were coming of the bye and they wanted to see him prove it again. Well, we knew it wasn’t going to be a six-touchdown game, but on the road in Miami he threw for 316 yards with three touchdowns, an interception and added 47 more yards on the ground. The Bears offense is showing the willingness to take shots and its very creative. Trubisky is going to be a valuable fantasy quarterback this year.

CASE KEENUM – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 65% OF CBS LEAGUES

Case Keenum is not a flashy pick to start at quarterback, but he continues to be effective in fantasy. This week he threw for 322 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. If you are in a deeper league and are looking for consistency off the waiver wire, here is a guy who keeps throwing for 300+ yards with usually two touchdowns and an interception.

SAM DARNOLD – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 79% OF CBS LEAGUES

Sam had himself another good game, and a game in which he showed growth. Darnold was very effective completing 24 of 30 pass attempts for 280 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The efficiency he showed this week is something that is encouraging, as well as the fact that he continues to take shots down the field. Look at the matchups, but he is viable as a streamer in deeper leagues.

RUNNING BACKS

LATAVIUS MURRAY – VIKINGS – AVAILABLE IN 49% OF CBS LEAGUES

Dalvin Cook continues to have problems getting back on the field, and Latavius Murray came through in a big way this week with 24 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown. There are not a lot of backs out there on the waiver wire getting this many touches and as long as Cook is a question mark, Murray is your answer.

RASHAAD PENNY – SEAHAWKS – AVAILABLE IN 71% OF CBS LEAGUES

So we know Chris Carson is the main man, and Mike Davis seemed to still have a role and all of sudden here comes Penny. Rashaad had nine carries for 43 yards and two receptions for 27 yards this week against the Raiders. He is going to start seeing a larger role in the committee, as the Seahawks want to see the return on their first round investment. This is the time of the year when rookies start to emerge in fantasy.

JAMAAL CHARLES – JAGUARS – AVAILABLE IN 65% OF CBS LEAGUES

Charles found himself back on the field after signing with the Jaguars last Tuesday. He only had five carries for five yards and a catch for another five yards this week. The Jaguars found themselves in a big hole early and that also led to Charles being taken out of the game plan. It is unclear when Fournette will be back, so if you are looking for a potential stop gap in a deeper league Charles should be much more productive next week.

JALEN RICHARD – RAIDERS – AVAILABLE IN 87% OF CBS LEAGUES

Richard is more of an add in PPR leagues as he does 99% of his damage as a receiver. He only had three yards on two carries, but caught seven of eight targets for 48 yards. The Raiders are usually playing from behind and Jalen will continue to get some good opportunities in garbage time.

RONALD JONES – BUCCANEERS – AVAILABLE IN 53% OF CBS LEAGUES

Jones only had one carry for three yards and three receptions for 16 yards, but he is eventually going to get a lot more carries in this offense. The Bucs invested highly in him and it is only Peyton Barber who is ahead of him. It may be three weeks away, but Jones will start to make an impact soon.

WIDE RECEIVERS

TAYLOR GABRIEL – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 74% OF CBS LEAGUES

So you thought the last game against the Buccaneers was a fluke and you were not going to waste a waiver addition on Taylor Gabriel as I had recommended strongly last week. Now you are going to have to up your waiver priority as he is going to be a hot commodity after his five catches for 110 yards with another nine yards on a rush. Gabriel is the big play receiver in this offense and he made a great catch down the sideline for a 40+ yards gain against the Dolphins. Trubisky has trust in him and you can bet he will continue to be utilized in the game plan by Matt Nagy.

COLE BEASLEY – COWBOYS – AVAILABLE IN 92% OF CBS LEAUGES

Beasley had a monster game with nine catches for 101 yards and two scores on 11 targets. He was the only Cowboy receiver that did any damage in this game, as all other receivers had 27 or fewer receiving yards. Beasley had nine more targets than the second leading receiver. The Cowboys passing offense is still very futile, so while this was a great showing you can’t expect it on a weekly basis. The great news is the target share and if that continues he is a valuable add, especially in PPR

CHRISTIAN KIRK – CARDINALS – AVAILABLE IN 73% OF CBS LEAGUES

Kirk is quickly becoming the favorite target for Josh Rosen. This week he was targeted seven times and caught six of them for 77 yards. He is the deep threat as well and the Cardinals are going to find themselves playing from behind in most games, which will mean a lot of targets for Kirk going forward. This is a rookie you can trust.

ALBERT WILSON – DOLPHINS – AVAILABLE IN 88% OF CBS LEAGUES

Wilson went off on the Bears and took advantage of a gassed defense in the South Florida heat, torching them for 155 yards and two scores on six catches. His highlight was a 75-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter where he ran right through an exhausted defense. He did this with Brock Osweiler at quarterback, and after this performance he should become a bigger part of the passing game going forward.

ROBBY ANDERSON – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 47% OF CBS LEAGUES

Anderson saw five targets and caught three of them, but unlike the big boom last week these only went for a total of 39 yards. There are going to be more potential opportunities next week as Quincy Enunwa left the game with an ankle injury and may not be able to go next week. Anderson will be boom or bust, but he is better chance to boom next week at home against the Vikings.

CHESTER ROGERS – COLTS – AVAILABLE IN 80% OF CBS LEAGUES

Rogers only had four receptions for 55 yards this week, but he was targeted 10 times. The Colts continue to throw the ball at a prolific pace, and that means that Rogers will continue to get a lot of looks. There are not many receivers on the waiver wire seeing the amount of target share that Rogers is seeing.

JOSH REYNOLDS – RAMS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES

This is only suggested if Kupp if not able to go. Kupp was carted of the field this week after a horse-collar tackle, although he returned in the second half. If the injury ends up being worse and he misses time, Reynolds gets slotted in.

TYRELL WILLIAMS – CHARGERS – AVAILABLE IN 77% OF CBS LEAUGES

This is the week you would have wanted to start Williams as he finished with 118 yards and two scores on three catches. He did all of this on back-to-back drives in the second quarter. The numbers are great, but only three targets makes this look more like a mirage. He is the epitome of boom or bust.

WILLIE SNEAD – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 86% OF CBS LEAGUES

Snead continues to work under the radar and to be effective. He was targeted 10 times this week and caught seven of them for 60 yards. He has been a consitant play each week, and while he is not going to go off and win your week, he provides a nice floor as a bye week replacement.

DONTE MONCREIF – JAGUARS – AVAILABLE IN 73% OF CBS LEAGUES

Moncreif was targeted only three times this week and did not record a catch. The Jags were completely shut down by the Cowboys, so you can’t put a ton of stock into this horrible performance. The amount of targets he was getting before this week will hopefully still be there for him going forward. Only add in deeper leagues.

DJ MOORE – PANTHERS – AVAILABLE IN 80% OF CBS LEAGUES

Moore had a tough start to his day fumbling after his first two catches. Cam still showed faith going back to him and he finished with four catches for 59 yards on five targets. You have to buy into Moore as a longer term project, but he is a high draft pick and going to continue to carve out a larger role in the offense as the season moves on.

JERMAINE KEARSE – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 98% OF CBS LEAUGES

Kearse led the way for the Jets receivers this week after Quincy Enunwa left with an ankle injury. If Enunwa can’t go next week then Kearse will step in and see a lot more action. Don’t count on him for a long term option, but could be a nice one week add to cover for a bye week.

MARQUEZ VALDES-SCANTLING – PACKERS – AVAILABLE IN 88% OF CBS LEAGUES

Plays on Monday Night

OTHER RECEIVERS TO CONSIDER

ANTHONY MILLER – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 88% OF CBS LEAGUES

PIERRE GARCON – 49ERS – AVAILABLE IN 68% OF CBS LEAGUES

CAMERON MEREDITH – SAINTS – AVAILABLE IN 86% OF CBS LEAGUES

MARTAVIS BRYANT – RAIDERS – AVAILABLE IN 91% OF CBS LEAGUES

EQUANIMEOUS ST. BROWN – PACKERS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES

TIGHT ENDS

VANCE MCDONALD – STEELERS – AVAILABLE IN 34% OF CBS LEAUGES

If Vance is still available he is a valuable add. This week he was targeted eight times and caught seven of them for 68 yards. Big Ben has faith in him and he continues to get a solid target share on a weekly basis.

C.J. UZOMAH – BENGALS – AVAILABLE IN 72% OF CBS LEAUGES

Uzomah showed up nicely this week with Tyler Kroft also missing the game this week. He finished catching six of seven targets for 54 yards. He is an athletic player at the tight end position and should see his role continue at this level going forward. If you missed out on Austin Hooper last week you should grab Uzomah.

O.J. HOWARD – BUCCANEERS – AVAILABLE IN 48% OF CBS LEAGUES

Howard was not supposed to be back for this game, but he played and played well. He finished his day with three catches for 48 yards with a touchdown. Cameron Brate started off with a touchdown catch early in the game, but that ended up being his only target as Howard became the target of choice for Winston. O.J. has big play ability and as long as he is healthy is worth taking a shot on.

OTHER TIGHT ENDS TO CONSIDER

VERNON DAVIS – REDSKINS – AVAILABLE IN 94% OF CBS LEAGUES

BENJAMIN WATSON – SAINTS – AVAILABLE IN 69% OF CBS LEAGUES
