Denver Makes Case

Broncos signed QB Case Keenum, formerly of the Vikings, to a two-year, $36 million contract.

Well, I was hoping for more than a bridge QB for my favorite WR (D. Thomas), but this is a definite upgrade from the three stooges Denver put behind center last year.

Case Keenum

Minnesota Vikings

Cross The Bridge When We Come To It

Mike Zimmer says yes indeed Case Keenum will start. In his first four seasons (25 games), Case Keenum topped a 100 passer rating 5 times. So far in 2017 (9 games) he’s done it 4 times.

Fantasy Goo: It appears as though Minnesota would like to see Bridgewater back in action, and it will be inspiring when it does happen, but for now Keenum is the guy. After two years under Jeff Fisher Keenum has finally been able to spread his wings. In their last meeting Keenum was held to 16/30 for 219 yards in a 14-7 loss in Detroit, if he repeats that performance it will probably open the door for the comeback. The Vikings have won six straight since then so I suspect we will see a much different game Thursday.

Rams QB Keenum Making A Case To Be A Starter In 2016

The Los Angeles Rams invested a tremendous amount of their future in Jared Goff and as the offseason unfolds, he may not enter Week one as their starting quarterback. "Jared Goff is nowhere near being ready to start Week 1, NFL Network's Steve Wyche said on Total Access. "I know the expectation is for him to start the first week if the season but don't be shocked if Case Keenum is the starter, because, again, Jared Goff has a long way to go," Wyche later added during his segment.

Fantasy Goo:It appears that there is a quarterback controversy brewing in Los Angeles as highly touted rookie Jared Goff seems to be heading in the wrong direction following his first career minicamp and organized team activities. It could be too early to tell how this will unfold, but the Rams still have Case Keenum on the roster to start in place of Goff as he gets acclimated to the pro level. For fantasy football purposes, neither quarterback should be on the fantasy radar entering the regular season.

Case Keenum give the Rams the best chance for victory?

The Rams have many questions to answer this offseason, none bigger than what they'll do at quarterback and offensive coordinator. Case Keenum and Rob Boras are 3-0 when working together, but it's hard to give them too much of the credit for the Rams' recent run of wins. Still, Keenum and Boras are making the case to have a shot at retaining their jobs in 2016, especially if the Rams can't find better options on the open market. -- Nick Wagoner

Case Keenum (concussion) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Its his starting gig when he returns as Jeff Fisher has already confirmed that he hasnt lost the starting job.

Its scary how bad Nick Foles was for Fisher to not hesitate and claim Keenum the starter regardless.

Jeff Fisher confirmed Case Keenum (concussion) will remain the starter once he is cleared.

“The testing got to the point where our doctors felt like it would be OK to let him go out to practice, and not subject him to contact by no means, but see how he is running around,” Fisher said. “He got some reps on Wednesday and then on Friday, he took a few reps and he was honest with us and said he just doesn’t feel right. So we pulled him out on Friday.

“At that point, it was very, very unlikely that he’d play in the game,” Fisher continued. “He has to really be back to 100 percent. From what I’ve been told, today was good. We’re going to wait on what he does tomorrow and we’ll see on Wednesday.”

“I don’t buy in to the philosophy where someone’s going to lose their job because they got hurt,” Fisher said. “Unfortunately, Case had the set of circumstances at the end of the Baltimore game that prevented him from playing last week. Hopefully, he’s going to be back this week and he’ll play. I’m going to give Case a fair shot.”

Keenum says Texans are going to play "pissed off"

It is true the Texans have nothing to lose the rest of the season, and Case should be a gunslinger for the rest of the season. That does not mean that he is a great start, but it could be great news for Andre Johnson.

If Keenum is letting it fly, it could lead to more turnovers, but it could also lead to a lot of long catches for Andre. Johnson is Keenum's number one target, and he should continue to be a viable fantasy weapon in your playoffs. Another player who will benefit from Case is Garrett Graham, who has seen 46 targets in the last four weeks.

This is not surprising as Keenum is a former quarterback of the Texans and was released over the summer. He will start the final two games and can be a desperation ploy for your quarterback needs, if nobody is available.

This is not surprising as Keenum is a former quarterback of the Texans and was released over the summer. He will start the final two games and can be a desperation ploy for your quarterback needs, if nobody is available.

Keenum was involved in eight games last season for the Texans, and finished with nine touchdowns, 1,760 yards, six interceptions and a 78.2 rating. No quarterback in Houston is worth owning in your fantasy leagues at this time of year.
