Chad Williams

Arizona Cardinals

Rookie Debut

John Brown has turf toe and, as Arians noted Monday at his press conference, “could miss some time.”
“Chad Williams is going to get his shot,” Arians said Monday. “He’s been practicing really, really well, just like Ricky (Seals-Jones). Those guys have been practicing really well, and it’s time for them to get a look.” Back in August Arians said, “Around Thanksgiving probably. There are other things he can do because he’s big and strong. He can play on special teams, but it’s going to be very hard to get a hat on Sunday.”

Fantasy Goo: Williams is 6’1” and 204 lbs, he caught 90 passes for 1,337 yards and 11 touchdowns last season at Grambling. The Cardinals maneuvered in the draft to get him earlier than he was projected to go. They wanted to add a big, strong receiver while sacrificing as little speed as possible, they believe they got the right guy. I don’t think he’ll see many targets this week, especially against the stout Jaguars defense, but he’s definitely someone to keep on your radar.

Cardinals Draft Next Larry Fitz?

Bruce Arians brought in Chad Williams to be the Larry Fitz replacement that Michael Floyd couldn't be.

Fantasy Goo: Williams likely has no immediate value as he learns the ropes from future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald.
