Cole Beasley

Dallas Cowboys

Beas Nuts

Sneaky fast, hyper quick Cole Beasely is a low floor, low ceiling slot receiver, but in PPR he's worth a start for many owners. At $5,600 in FanDuel this week, Beasley could come as a solid low-cost dart throw play for week 1. He led the Giants in receptions in 2016, I expect the same for this year's campaign.

Fantasy Goo: Cole had 19 targets in two games against the Giants last season, while Dez was a total dud getting overmatched by Janoris Jenkins. Cole has proven to be Dak's security blanket on passing plays. He's essentially open on every play.

Dallas Cowboys

Beasley Under the Radar

NFL Next Gen Stats have revealed many of their numbers to the public recently. Hartbeat picked this one out on Twitter: Cole Beasley adding another advanced stat that he thrives in, Top 10 in separation among all pass catchers.

Fantasy Goo: Beasley was one of the most efficient weapons in the NFL last year. His Defense-adjusted Yards above Replacement and Defense-adjusted Value over Average ranked as 5th best among WRs. For more on Beasley and others check out the Pyro Pulse podcast episode 6, WR Tiers.

Cole Beasley

Dallas Cowboys

Beasley Hoping for a Repeat Performance Against the Packers

In their earlier meeting this season, Beasley caught all 6 of his targets for 58 yards and 2 TDs.

Fantasy Goo: Considering Green Bay's slot corner is Micah Hyde, Beasley should have a great game again. Slot receivers were a consistent problem for the secondary all season.

Cole Beasley

Dallas Cowboys

Beasley has a Killer Matchup in Week 16

Beasley will be facing Detroit's slot corner, who just 3 weeks ago was 3rd on the depth chart – Asa Jackson. Out of the 96 starting cornerbacks in the NFL, no one, not one gives up as many fantasy pts per route run than Asa Jackson

Fantasy Goo: Beasley has developed into something of a safety blanket for Dak. Detroit is terrible over the middle against slot WRs and TEs. Heck, Witten is even playable here just because the matchup is so choice, as Ferris Bueller once said.

Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys

Dez Bryant Should Be Returning Following Cowboys Week Seven Bye

Dallas Cowboys beat writer Brandon George is reporting that "it continues to look like WR Dez Bryant (knee) won't return" for Week 6's contest against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Goo: Bryant, who has been nursing a bum knee, is on track to miss his third consecutive game on Sunday against the Packers. Bryant "plans on" returning to practice this week, but the Cowboys "are not taking any chances" with their star wideout indicating that if he will likely be inactive for Week 6. With Bryant out, any one of Dallas' receivers could be featured depending on the game. In Week 4, Terrance Williams and Brice Butler found the end zone while in Week 5, it was Cole Beasley who caught a touchdown pass from Dak Prescott. Dallas' wideouts have a favorable matchup on Sunday against a shorthanded Packers secondary. For fantasy football purposes, proceed with caution, but Beasley should be considered the top bet for a productive outing this week.

Dez Bryant

Dallas Cowboys

Dez Expected to Miss Week 5 Beasley Has Great Floor

According to the Dallas News, Bryant is very unlikely to play week 5. Cole Beasley will have a larger slice of the pie.

Fantasy Goo: Beasley, in PPR formats, has a double-digit floor. IF he gets into the endzone, which is much more likely without Dez, now we are talking fantasy WR2.

Dez Bryant

Dez Will Likely Be on the Cowboy's Bench for Week 4

It is very likely Bryant will not play.

Fantasy Goo: He did not practice this week. HE is slated to warm up but not likely to play. I like Beasley to step up in his absence in a favorable matchup for him. I know Bryce butler will get the start in Dez's absence, but I look for a bigger slice of the pie for Beasley, perhaps T Williams.

Cole Beasley

Dallas Cowboys

Cole Beasley can make a nice sleeper pick

Cole Beasley. In his past 12 games with Romo as the starter, Beasley has 36 catches for 441 yards. In four games with Matt Cassel as the starter, nine of Beasley’s 10 catches and 112 of his 120 yards came in one game. He had two games without a catch. The Cowboys will look to get the ball out quickly to protect Romo from Miami's pass rush, and that suits Beasley’s game in the slot just fine. -- Todd Archer

Cole Beasley

Dallas Cowboys

Beasley developing his route running

Cole Beasley is entering his third year, and has improved his game each and every year. Last season, he had 39 receptions on 55 targets for 368 yards and two touchdowns. He plays in a solid offense with All-Pro players in Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and Jason Witten, and both DeMarco Murray and Terrance Williams round out that solid offense. Beasley is more of a PPR threat than he is in a standard league format, but his success will depend on his receptions, and if he can truly open things up for Bryant, by allowing him to move around. Look for 55-60 receptions for 650 yards and 4 touchdowns

Dallas' wideouts have a favorable matchup on Sunday against a shorthanded Packers secondary. For fantasy football purposes, proceed with caution, but Beasley should be considered the top bet for a productive outing this week.

In their earlier meeting this season, Beasley caught all 6 of his targets for 58 yards and 2 TDs.

Fantasy Goo: Beasley has developed into something of a safety blanket for Dak. Detroit is terrible over the middle against slot WRs and TEs. Heck, Witten is even playable here just because the matchup is so choice, as Ferris Bueller once said.
