Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams

Waiver Wire Target

Kupp had a season-high 10 targets and caught his 3rd touchdown of the season on an 18-yard catch. He’s running up and down on the season, and they have a bye week this week, so you can probably wait.

Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams

Waiver Wire Target

The rookie has been up and down this season, but this was another up week with five catches for 60 yards and a score. Sammy Watkins is helping to open things up for Kupp, and he is developing a nice rapport with Goff.

Los Angeles Rams

Kuppening Pt 2

WR Cooper Kupp – The Kuppening is happening and it is real. Kupp saw a very nice 20% target share in Week 1 and he is likely to avoid Washington’s better corners Norman and Breeland. Kupp is not a plug and play this week, but if you have bad matchups with your other WRs you could consider Kupp as the most likely Rams receiver to see end zone targets. Another interesting figure is that Kupp’s average depth of target was actually slightly higher than his speedy counterpart Sammy Watkins.

Los Angeles Rams

Kuppening In Week 1?

WR Cooper Kupp – I am only including Kupp because I saw a lot of Pyro Pro second opinion questions that included Kupp as a potential flex. Its safe to say that I prefer anyone else that you have rostered to Kupp this week. Kupp is likely to be matched up against fellow rookie Nate Hairston who only has one year of experience with Temple. Although I like this matchup, Kupp will be behind Watkins and Woods and likely wont command aTh large week 1 target share. Kupp could lead the Rams in receptions as a rookie, but I’m not trusting any WR catching throws from Goff until he shows that he can increase his 131 pass yards per game average.

The Kuppening

“Of the 24 wide receivers to have seen at least nine passes thrown their way this preseason, none have a higher wide receiver rating (passer rating for quarterbacks throwing to that receiver) than Los Angeles Rams rookie Cooper Kupp”

Fantasy Goo: I was not excited about Kupp at all this year, he dominated in college at Easten Washington because of the weak competition where he could hide his lack of speed (4.62/40yd). I thought he was a compiler of stats because he was a couple of years older than your typical stand-out recievers (he’s older than Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, and the same age as Sammy Watkins). He has looked very good in two preseason games, and his situation just improved greatly with Watkins joining the team to pull coverage away.
