Royal has missed a couple of games here and there, and because he's a bit on the midget side, he might be more susceptible to injury than most. However, he's fine heading into the new season

Bears TNF injuries

The Bears will be holding out 6 players so far.

Notables:

Eddie Royal, WR, has been ruled out earlier this week with a toe injury.

Jeremy Langford, RB, Jay Cutler, QB, are doubtful for TNF with an ankle and a thumb issue respectively.

Zach Miller. TE, was questionable with a rib injury but should be good to go.

Jerrell Freeman, LB, has been limited with a wrist injury but should be able to play through it.

Eddie Royal Ruled Out For Week 7

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) has been officially ruled out for Week 7.

Fantasy Goo: Royal's absence in Thursday's matchup against the Packers opens the door for more targets for an emerging Cameron Meredith. Meredith exploded onto the fantasy scene in recent weeks totaling 20 receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown over the past two games. On Thursday night, Meredith will face a depleted Packers secondary that is ranked No.1 in fantasy points allowed to opposing wideouts giving up an average of 28.7 FPPG. Meredith should be considered a must-start WR in this week's extremely favorable matchup who seems poised for another double-digit fantasy point outing.

Royal still getting looks in Bears offense

Waiver Wire after Week 6: Royal is getting looks as the third option in the Bears passing attack and caught four passes for 54 yards. Eddie is not a strong touchdown threat, but he can be effective with how much the Bears are passing these days. The emergence of Cameron Meredith has hurt his production.

Josh Bellamy

Chicago Bears

Bellamy to get the Start in Week 13

The Bears will put Wilson and Royal on the bench in Week 13. Certainly no surprise where Royal is concererned. But, losing both could make Bellamy a sneaky, cheap DFS play. But keep in mind, they are heavy favorites over the 49'ers. The gamescript should lend itself to ground and ound for the Bears. I am just not sure how many points there will be to go around for Chicago pass catchers. If you play Bellamy, you are hopinbg Gabbert continues his surprising play and keeps this one close.

Royal restructures contract

Royal will retain his role in the offense in 2014 thanks to his restructure. It is obvious that he feels he can improve on his numbers from last season by going to an incentive laden contract.

Eddie will be healthy for the start of the season, and since he was able to post last season's numbers while spending his weeks in a protective boot I like his chances. Royal is not a starting receiver in fantasy, but he is worth a late round flier in 2014.

Eddie Royal returns to practice Tuesday

Royal has been a severe disappointment to fantasy football owners thinking they might have drafted the 2009 receptions leader to their team. As surprising as the Broncos have been this year, it has been equally surprising how far Royal has fallen.

Eddie Royal finally getting his looks

The Broncos quieted their nay-sayers this past Sunday by beating the mighty Patriots, and they did it the way they did it last year, by getting the ball to their two stud receivers. Royal can again be used as a starter on your fantasy football team.

Denver receivers stuck in rotation

Both Marshall and Eddie Royal had just three catches apiece in the win against the Browns, and four and two respectively against the Bengals in Week 1. This doesn't look good for either of their fantasy prospects this year, especially with weak-armed Kyle Orton running the show.

Eddie Royal

Chicago Bears

Broncos Moreno, Marshall, Royal to see more touches on Sunday?

It only took the rookie coach one game to figure out that your best players should get the ball more than others. By comparison, it took Al Davis almost 40 years as an owner to figure out that he doesn't know football. Wait, he still hasn't figured that one out.

Chicago Bears

Eddie Royal to be given special-teams relief

This is good news for fantasy owners, as punt/kick returners are exposed to injury on a more frequent basis than other players might be. The Broncos cannot afford to lose Royal as a WR this year, especially with a new QB at the helm in Kyle Orton and Brandon Marshall putting up his regular stink during the preseason.

Eddie Royal

Chicago Bears

Royal could lead Broncos in catches

Kils dismisses WR Brandon Stokley because he doesn't think his body will hold up for an entire season. He also thinks WR Brandon Marshall will be slowed by his hip injury. So that leaves Royal, who Kils said "will be plenty busy early, and as the season carries on, McDaniels will continue to feed him." While this may be true, we'd be cautious with Royal because of QB Kyle Orton's 3 INT performance in his first preseason game.

Jeremy Langford, RB, Jay Cutler, QB, are doubtful for TNF with an ankle and a thumb issue respectively.

Zach Miller. TE, was questionable with a rib injury but should be good to go.

Eddie will be healthy for the start of the season, and since he was able to post last season's numbers while spending his weeks in a protective boot I like his chances. Royal is not a starting receiver in fantasy, but he is worth a late round flier in 2014.

Eddie will be healthy for the start of the season, and since he was able to post last season's numbers while spending his weeks in a protective boot I like his chances. Royal is not a starting receiver in fantasy, but he is worth a late round flier in 2014.

This is good news for fantasy owners, as punt/kick returners are exposed to injury on a more frequent basis than other players might be. So that leaves Royal, who Kils said "will be plenty busy early, and as the season carries on, McDaniels will continue to feed him." While this may be true, we'd be cautious with Royal because of QB Kyle Orton's 3 INT performance in his first preseason game.

Royal has been a severe disappointment to fantasy football owners thinking they might have drafted the 2009 receptions leader to their team. As surprising as the Broncos have been this year, it has been equally surprising how far Royal has fallen.

It only took the rookie coach one game to figure out that your best players should get the ball more than others. By comparison, it took Al Davis almost 40 years as an owner to figure out that he doesn't know football. Wait, he still hasn't figured that one out.
