Six Game Suspension

Pyro's take: NFL suspended Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott six games for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Reports out of the Ezekiel Elliot camp say the player is considering sitting out all of the 2017 NFL season if suspended. Zeke will be appealing the decision with his lawyers in full force, the appeal will most likely be heard by Roger Goodell because the initial suspension was handed down by Todd Jones.

Fantasy Goo: Staggs projections have about a 100 point drop-off for Zeke in terms of year end points. He drops from RB3 to RB14 projections wise, his rank will be slightly higher because we can factor in replacement value with other RB's. Check the Pyro Pulse Podcast (Ep.5) to get the serious goo on who to stream/handcuff Elliot with, and how this affects the value of the other Cowboys skill players.

Razorback is Back for Jones

Pyro's take: Run DMC has returned for Week 15 after reportedly falling in his shower in the offseason. Jerry Jones has always been fond of DMC.

Fantasy Goo: Expect DMC to cut into Morris' carries as he could be a healthy scratch. Zeke is still the workhorse back here, but if he gets injured it becomes an RBBC rather than Morris being a top 10 fill in. You can drop Morris if need be.

Elliot Closing On Record

Pyro's take: With 4 games remaining on the Cowboys schedule Zeke is eyeing his preseason goal of the Rookie Rushing Record. He is sitting at 1,285 yards and is 523 short of Dickerson's 1,808.

Fantasy Goo: Zeke can break the record with 107 more rushes at his current YPC rate and the Cowboys are showing no signs of slowing Zeke down. Elliot has emerged in a class joined only by David Johnson in a resurgent running back position.

Romo Cleared for Practice

Pyro's take: Cowboys medical staff has told Tony that his back is Greeaaaaat! Don't expect to see him starting this week as Dak continues to roll through the NFL, but if given the opportunity to retain the Cowboys starting QB expect more Ezekiel Elliot touches to turn to Dez Bryant targets. With the Cowboys efficient run game don't expect Zeke to see reduced production. That being said, you need to stash Alf, don't forget about the Molly & Weed use at OSU, along with the preseason dispensary mishap and domestic violence accusation still looming over the NFL.

Great GameScript Against the Browns in Week 9

Pyro's take: The Browns are giving up the 2nd highest yards per carry to opposing backs.

Fantasy Goo: The game script is ripe for the Cowboys ground game. They are expected to score nearly 28 points and are 7 point road favorites. Which means if they were at home, they would likely be favored to win by 10. The Cowboys, who boast the 4th best run blocking line according to Football Outsiders, should feed Double E all day.

Double the Goo: Elliott could be facing a lengthy suspension for past domestic violence charges. It is not clear when or if this comes down, but what with Josh Brown in the news, the NFL can't be seen playing favorites. Alf is a guy to grab now if you can afford the bench space

Elliott Could Face a Lengthy Suspension

Pyro's take: This stems from a domestic violence charge.
Elliott could very well face a lengthy suspension.

Fantasy Goo:
I would make the move to pick up Alfred Morris if you can, and do it now.

Zeke Lights Up Bengals Defense On Way To Record Setting Day

Pyro's take: Ezekiel Elliott had 15 carries for 134 yards (8.9 YPC) and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 28-14 win over the Bengals in Week 5. He also caught three passes (on four targets) for 37 yards.

Fantasy Goo: Elliott tied a franchise record with his third straight game of 130+ rushing yards (HOF RB Emmitt Smith is the only other Cowboy to accomplish this feat). Sunday also marked the first time Elliott scored multiple touchdowns in a game, and his 171 yards from scrimmage were a personal-high. As icing on the cake, 'Zeke finally broke off the big run we've been waiting for—a 60-yard TD scamper in the third quarter to give Dallas a 28-0 lead. Don't read too much into the season-low 15 carries, as that was simply a factor of the Cowboys only running 54 offensive plays (well short of their season average of 69.3 offensive plays per game through the first four weeks). Elliott leads the NFL in rushing yards and carries, and every indication is that these trends will continue. Elliott is right up there with the best RBs in fantasy football.

Ezekiel Elliott’s nervous drug test texts invite NFL suspicion

Pyro's take: Ezekiel Elliott’s nervous drug test texts invite NFL suspicion

Fantasy Goo: Strike 3 before he plays his first regular season game?? WOW!! First, he was accused of beating his girlfriend. Second, he was caught in a pot shop. Third, a drug test question mark? We have to hear more on this issue but Elliott is not a safe bet anymore. What’s next? He might be a lightning rod for trouble and a huge headache if he is on your roster. Let’s hope Ezekiel can straighten himself before he becomes the next sad story.

Honest Person with Great Family Values = 1 Lying Bitch = 0

The City Attorney says Elliott and his attorneys fully cooperated with the investigation. In his statement to police, Elliott said the woman told him, "I am going to ruin your career, you have messed with the wrong person!"

Pyro's take: The City Attorney says Elliott and his attorneys fully cooperated with the investigation. In his statement to police, Elliott said the woman told him, "I am going to ruin your career, you have messed with the wrong person!"

Fantasy Goo: Another gold-digger fails to cash in. This lady saw Elliott as a free ride to riches. Once he dumped her she wanted to get even. Tough shit bitch, you lose! I am so happy another lying evil person fails to make bank off someone else by trying to take away their gift from God. If she would have lost weight, taken more showers and douched once in a while Ezekiel might have kept banging her loose pussy. There is also a chance that she needed to do those Kegel Exercises!!!! Tee-Hee Cowboys fans rejoice and fantasy owners can cross their fingers that their high draft pick has a stellar season.

Zeke Believes That Cowboys Have Too Many Weapons To Be Stopped

It appears

Pyro's take: It appears that Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott believes that the team's offense will be a force in 2016. "We've got the best offensive line in the league, so we're going to run the ball regardless," Elliott said via the Dallas Morning News. "I think we have enough weapons on offense. I don't think they can try to cut the running game or the passing game out. We've got too many weapons."

Fantasy Goo: The Dallas offense has a tremendous amount of question marks entering the 2016 season due to Tony Romo's back injury. Despite Dak Prescott's brilliant preseason, he still has not played a meaningful down in the NFL. The Cowboys are expected to heavily rely on the running game led by Elliott to take the pressure off of Prescott and open up the long pass. Elliott should be considered a mid-to-high end RB1 entering the upcoming fantasy football campaign who's ceiling is sky high. Elliott will be Dallas' bell cow and has the upside to lead the league in rushing if he plays a full 16-game slate.

Randy Marsh recommends the Rainey Day Woman

But that wasn't the entirety of Elliott's day. He also visited one of Seattle's legal marijuana stores called "Herban Legends" a few hours before the game.

Pyro's take: But that wasn't the entirety of Elliott's day. He also visited one of Seattle's legal marijuana stores called "Herban Legends" a few hours before the game. Naturally, TMZ's cameras were there to capture it, although there was no evidence -- visual or otherwise -- that he made any purchases at the store.

Fantasy Goo: E.Z.E. was just looking. We have to think Elliott may be naive. Did he think it was a good idea to go into a marijuana shop? What was he thinking? Obviously, he was not thinking at all. Do you want your first or maybe second draft pick to be someone who makes poor decisions? Remember, he has a case involving himself beating his ex-girlfriend going on. Elliott needs to lay low and stay out of trouble. Talent and playing behind the Cowboys amazing o-line is wonderful, although making poor decisions get players suspended. Be brave or be wise on draft day. You will need to meditate on whether you should take Elliott.

Zeke Definitely Looks Every Bit The Part OF An NFL Running Back In His Preseason Debut

Ezekiel Elliott

Pyro's take: Ezekiel Elliott had seven carries for 48 yards (6.9YPC) in the Cowboys' preseason game against the Seahawks on Thursday night.

Fantasy Goo: Some rookie RBs would tremble at the idea of going up against the mighty Seahawks defense in their first NFL start. Not 'Zeke Elliott. Elliott looked like a savvy vet on Thursday night, demonstrating decisiveness with the ball in his hands and holding his own in pass protection. But anyone who watched Thursday's game won't spend the next week talking about Elliott's speed or blocking abilities. They'll be talking about the power he demonstrated against Kam Chancellor, on two carries in particular. Two times Elliott found himself in a one-on-one situation with Chancellor—and both times Elliott lowered his shoulder and knocked Chancellor backwards. Not a bad way to gain respect in this league. Elliott proved he is not afraid to face NFL defenses, and with a few more games like Thursday night, NFL defenses will start to be afraid to face him. It's hard to expect any rookie RB to return on the investment of a first round fantasy draft pick, but Elliott has the potential to do just that in 2016.

We Want E.Z.

Garrett said the Cowboys have a plan for Zeke getting 8-12 plays, touches as a runner and a receiver.

Pyro's take: Garrett said the Cowboys have a plan for Zeke getting 8-12 plays, touches as a runner and a receiver.

Fantasy Goo: Ezekiel Elliott is about to blow the roof off of this MUTHA or maybe he will not. Elliott is about to play his first preseason game. We do know that since he is a Cowboy that his performance will be huge talk for everyone. It is all on Elliott’s shoulders now as we have all hyped him plenty. Let me shift gears. Alfred Morris and or Darren McFadden will possibly have the keys to the Cowboys offense for a couple weeks or so this season. Elliott is a rookie and if he does not for some reason produce what Jerry Jones expects or by injury we could see Morris or McFadden playing. Last year McFadden was the #4 rusher in the NFL. Morris showed that as a veteran he can be “The Man” per the recent preseason game. My point is that everyone should consider using a pick on Morris (as of now) or DMC who both offer low risk with possible ass kicking reward. DMC did well without Tony Romo playing. With Romo the whole offense should be 'Dyn-o-mite'.

They all told cops they didn't see an assault

According to the report, cops also spoke with 4 witnesses -- but they all told cops they didn't see an assault.

Pyro's take: According to the report, cops also spoke with 4 witnesses -- but they all told cops they didn't see an assault. One of the witnesses was in the car at the time of the alleged incident.

Fantasy Goo: If this lady is caught lying we need to string this cunt up and abuse her for real (JUST TEASING). I am tired of lying money grabbing gold diggers waiting for their chance and a payday from young soon to be rich athletes. Could she be telling the truth? Yes. But for now, once again we have to expect that Elliott is innocent until proven guilty. Claims like this hurt players reputations AND careers. For her sake she better be right! It is odd that the other people in the car at the time of the “assault” say she is full of shit. For fantasy purposes (just for now) you might want to think twice before choosing Elliott in a Dynasty/Keeper league. In standard leagues you might want to worry as well because there would be a chance that the Cowboys alter his playing time but, that would be a large unknown. The whole process of finding out Elliott's guilt would take time. At this point the accuser has been to the prosecutor's office to see if she wants to try to press charges. My guess is that NOTHING will be charged.

Ezekiel Elliott Accused Of Domestic Violence

The Dallas Cowboys

Pyro's take:
The Dallas Cowboys rookie RB and 4th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft has been accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend. Elliott has denied this report. (TMZ.com)

Fantasy Goo: This would be a major hit to the Dallas Cowboys and the fantasy football community. Elliott's current ADP is number five among running backs and eight overall. Many project Elliott to have close to 300 touches and over 1,000 yards. In any form domestic violence is never good, especially for NFL running backs. ie: Ray Rice
Stay tuned for more news as it comes out.

Ezekiel Elliot Expected To Amass 300 Carries In 2016

Since being selected

Pyro's take: Since being selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has been projected to be the No. 2 running back behind Darren McFadden. With McFadden out, Elliott could wind up starting in his rookie season. Dave Helman of the official website of the Dallas Cowboys believes that Elliott will be "first string" even if McFadden was healthy. The beat writer also suggested that the rookie will receive around "280-300" carries in 2016.

Fantasy Goo: Ezekiel Elliott will likely be thrust into the starting running back position this year especially with the preseason absence of Darren McFadden, who was the early favorite to be the starter. Elliott should have a tremendous rookie season in the NFL not only because of his talent but because the Cowboys' offensive line is one of the league's elite. Consider Elliott a low-end RB1 with plenty of upside as the starting job is his to lose in 2016.

Darren McFadden broke his elbow trying to rescue his iPhone

McFadden underwent surgery for a broken right elbow Tuesday morning and is expected to miss at least two months

Pyro's take: McFadden underwent surgery for a broken right elbow Tuesday morning and is expected to miss at least two months. There's a possibility he'll be ready for the opener on Sept. 11 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Goo: The E.Z.E. Ezekiel Elliott train is picking up more steam! Elliott appears to be destined for the first round in many fantasy drafts with this news. He has not played a single down in the N.F.L. but, we all know that Dallas Cowboys hype is often the largest. It will now cost a pretty penny for the rookie. Alfred Morris stock is rising as well with the backup role set to be his if DMC recovers slowly. Alf could also see more time to begin the season being he has actually played in the league.
