Breaking News

Snelling starting for the Falcons expand +

Falcons running back Michael Turner (ankle) has been declared inactive for the game against the Bills today. Jason snelling will get the start in his place.

Pyro's Take:

Get Turner out of your lineup and Jason Snelling in! The Bills have the worst rush D in the league, so expect Snelling to put up at least RB2 numbers and possibly even better than that.

Snelling get the start for Atlanta expand +

Falcons running back Michael Turner (ankle) is inactive today. Jason Snelling will once again start in his place.

Pyro's Take:

This was expected, but if you still have him in your lineup, make sure you get him out immediately. Snelling could be a decent replacement for him on your fantasy football team if you have nothing else going on.

Snelling returns to backup role expand +

With Falcons running back Michael Turner (ankle) active and starting against the Buccaneers today, Jason Snelling will return to his normal backup duties.

Pyro's Take:

This is a very pleasant surprise for Turner fantasy football owners, though it's not sure exactly how much the RB1 will play. Our guess is that he'll get a decent load today, at least until the Falcons put the game out of hand. Start him and expect at least one TD, but maybe not his normal yardage.

Snelling likely to start again in Week 12 expand +

Falcons running back Michael Turner (ankle) hasn't ruled himself out for Week 12 just yet, though it doesn't look good for the star RB.
"I'm just taking it easy right now and hoping for the best," Turner said Monday. "These injuries are kind of like funny. Some guys take six weeks to bounce back, but I don't think I'll take that long. I'm just trying to get back to my normal self again."

Pyro's Take:

We don't expect Turner to be ready this week as he hasn't even tested the injury by running on it yet. Jason Snelling should get another start and would be a fine RB2 play for your fantasy football team going up against a weak Tampa rush D.

Snelling will start and get a full workload Sunday expand +

Along with Michael Turner, Falcons running back Jerious Norwood (hip) has been declared inactive for the game against the Giants today.

Pyro's Take:

Jason Snelling looks to get the lions-share of the carries today, but we expect QB Matt Ryan to be passing quite a bit against an overrated Giants secondary, so Smelly won't be worth much more than a flex play for your fantasy football team.

Snelling looks to get the starting nod expand +

Falcons running back Michael Turner (ankle) is being listed as doubtful on the team's Week 11 injury report, but he is not expected to play on Sunday.

Pyro's Take:

Jason Snelling will pick up the start against the Giants while Turner is on the mend, but he's no more than a super low-end RB2 and more of a flex play for your fantasy football team this week.

Snelling looking good with Norwood still iffy expand +

Falcons running back Jerious Norwood (hip) worked on the side at practice today while the team is hopeful to get him back to a full practice on Thursday.

Pyro's Take:

With Michael Turner not likely to play this week, the Falcons could really use Norwood active this weekend. If he can't make a go of it, Jason Snelling would get a full workload and be a decent fantasy football play against the Giants on Sunday.

Jason Snelling will start at least next week expand +

According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer and later confirmed by coach Mike Smith, Falcons running back Michael Turner suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday against the Panthers. The team, however, does not believe it will keep him out of action as long as most sprains of this variety do.

Pyro's Take:

Turner is a tough guy and still pretty young, so we tend to agree with the initial assessment. However, those who depended on the big RB for their fantasy football team should highly consider picking up Jason Snelling until he returns.
