Jordan Howard

Chicago Bears

Tarik Gonna Freak?

The Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell expects Jordan Howard (questionable, shoulder) to play in Week 2 at Tampa Bay. “I expect Jordan Howard (shoulder) to play. When a guy is limited in practice all week, expecting game snaps to be affected is fair.” Tarik Cohen ran five times for 66 yards and caught 8-of-12 targets for 47 yards and a TD in the loss to Atlanta last week.

Fantasy Goo: The Bucs will be a tougher front seven than Atlanta. With Howard possibly being limited, and a tougher matchup, I’m looking for better options, although you may not find that on your rosters. Cohen looks like a great play at the flex if you’re in a PPR or playing DK, at $4100 he should easily reach value.

Howard and Bears O-Line Troubles

Bears list LG Kyle Long (ankle) as questionable. I'd be surprised if either plays. We shall see.

Fantasy Goo: #Bears running game could be in trouble if All-Pro caliber OG Kyle Long is out, still a really solid line though.

Slimmer Jordan Howard For 2017

Jordan Howard has reportedly slimmed down to 225lbs after having some troubles with the NFL tempo in his rookie campaign.

Fantasy Goo: Howard dropped about 5 pounds as he looks to remain on the field for longer stretches of time, as he was already Chicago's workhorse.

New Jordan in Chicago...

Okay let's not get ahead of ourselves with that comparison. Howard is set up to have a nice game against the Packers who have allowed the 8th most points to RB's over the last 5 games.

Fantasy Goo: Beware of the trap game in this one as the Packers completely shut down Howard for only 22 yards in their last matchup. In fact the Packers allowed only 189 yards of total offense. Buyer beware this week with Jordan and all Bears.

Chicago Bears

Howard, So Hot Right Now, Howard

Jordan Howard showed that mother nature could not hold him back as he pounded in 3 TD's. This week he faces a Lions D who have allowed a total of 3 rushing touchdowns all season. This will be a match up of the unstoppable force vs the immovable object.

Fantasy Goo: Howard has cemented himself into the must-start status with a tougher match-up in Detriot in Week 14, but this could be an opportunity to fade him in DFS and let others chase his week 13 points.

Chicago Bears

Howard Admits to Achilles Injury

Howard said after practice today regarding limping off the field Sunday in the 2nd quarter, "I was just tight early in...the second half. Then I injured my Achilles a little bit at the end. I’m good now."

Fantasy Goo: Look for Howard to have his typical RB2/Flex type of game while potentially being down big in the game and utilizing a now healthy KaDeem Carey and Jeremy Langford in the passing attack

Jordan Howard Runs Into Chicago Bears History Books

Jordan Howard made history on Sunday by being the first ever Bears rookie to rush for 100+ yards in his first two starts.

Fantasy Goo: Jordan Howard has been a beast and the best waiver wire pickup of the season thus far. He has earned the Bears' starting RB job and should continue to start once Langford returns. Howard remains strong for fantasy purposes and is set to prove himself against a tougher run defense in Jacksonville.

Jeremy Langford To Miss Four To Six Weeks With Ankle Injury

The Chicago Bears are expecting Jeremy Langford to be out 4-6 weeks with a sprained ankle.

Fantasy Goo: Langford came into season as the Bears bellcow running back, but rookie Jordan Howard has been outperforming him when given the opportunity. Howard should be next man up for starting position.

Jeremy Langford

Chicago Bears

Jeremy Langford was Decisive

Jeremy Langford was decisive, just as the Bears want him to be. With one quick cut, the second-year running back ran through a gaping hole and into the end zone late in the first quarter. Langford’s 5-yard touchdown run was important because he read everything right on a play the Patriots’ undoubtedly wanted to stop after three days of joint practices.

Fantasy Goo: Jacquizz Rodgers and Jordan Howard are backing up Jeremy Langford. Rodgers is a nice blocker and a 3rd down pass catcher while Howard is losing ground at this point. Langford should get all of the opportunity he needs to put together a decent season. The jury is still out on Langford who will be tough to predict for fantasy draft day as he seems to be either a good bargain or a wasted pick. In 2015 Chicago was 8th in most run plays with 45.70%.

Bears - Caveat Emptor

In the past 3 weeks, we have seen a swing back and forth between a committee and sole backfield. There have been talks of Ka'Deem Carey and the rookie Jordan Howard in a timeshare. The current conversation is Langford leading the community (2 or more rotating in.)

Fantasy Goo: Caveat Emptor is a latin term for "buyer beware." Langford's current ADP is right around the round 2-3 turn and at the present time, that is too rich for a convoluted situation. Langford showed flashes and I expect him to start because Fox gives veterans the nod most of the time. Carey vultured a couple touchdowns last year in goal line situations. Expect a Hill/Bernard like role in this offense.

Slimmer Jordan Howard For 2017

Okay let's not get ahead of ourselves with that comparison. Howard is set up to have a nice game against the Packers who have allowed the 8th most points to RB's over the last 5 games.

Fantasy Goo: Beware of the trap game in this one as the Packers completely shut down Howard for only 22 yards in their last matchup. In fact the Packers allowed only 189 yards of total offense. Buyer beware this week with Jordan and all Bears.
