Jamison Crowder

Washington Redskins

Pryor is WR1, Crowder is WR2 & Doctson plays the x-factor

With Pierre Garçon and DeSean Jackson leaving for different teams this offseason there are 216 targets now available for Jamison, Josh & Terrelle. It's hard to tell how Kirk is going to spread the ball around and how much of an active role Josh Doctson is going to play alongside those guys.

The volume displacement of the 135 catches, 2,046 yards and 7 TDs from last season is the biggest unknown at the moment for the Redskins, my guess is JamCrow gets 120 targets this season and Terrell Pryor matches that. Doctson and Reed will pick the remaining leftover targets.

Fantasy Goo: Pryor is the WR1 on a passing attack that has rung up 9,189 yards and 55 touchdowns. Lot's of fantasy points bundled in those statistics for all 3 of these guys. Crowder is more like a Jarvis in my eyes, and I expect regression on his 7 TD from last season.

Josh Doctson

Washington Redskins

Doctson Reportedly 100% Healthy

“Doctson is apparently going “all out” in training camp, and appears to be free of the nagging Achilles injury that cost him the majority of his rookie season.”

Fantasy Goo: Josh Doctson is reportedly en route to a healthy 2017 season. He could play a huge role in the RZ with his height-speed combination. I expect Doctson to take over the vacated DeSean Jackson role and then some, with athleticism comparable to Sidney Rice.

Josh Doctson

Washington Redskins

Doctson a Late Scratch for Week 3

Doctson has officially been ruled out for week 3.

Fantasy Goo:
With Doctson out, all WRs get a bump. Giants give up more FF Points versus opposing #2 WRs. combine that, with the Doctson scratch, and Crowder should have a nice game.

Washington Redskins

Josh Doctson To Be Utilized In The Red zone

It has been reported that the Washington Redskins' rookie wide receiver Josh Doctson will likely start the 2016 season outside of the top three on the depth chart. This leads to an interesting question of how exactly the team plans to utilize their newest weapon. According to Rich Tandler of CSN, Doctson is expected to make an early impact in the red zone.

Fantasy Goo: Doctson was one of the best jump ball receivers in the NCAA last year. He has sticky hands and a tremendous ability to adjust to the ball. If he is in fact involved in red zone packages right out of the gate, it will provide a positive boost to his rookie fantasy value. His role will be one to monitor during camp.

Washington Redskins

Josh Doctson to Compete

According to the Washington Press, Doctson is to compete for the No3 WR spot on the team. This is where we could expect Doctson to be this point in the offseason. Doctson is currently resting his Achilles tissue injury and should be ready for training camp.

Fantasy Goo: DeSean Jackson is the alpha on this team but is oft injured. Jackson is one of the most volatile players in the league when it comes to fantasy production. Garcon is a better football player than a fantasy asset. Garcon has dropped off in production the past 2 years and I expect Doctson to provide high volume and consistency for a Washington offense in this year and years to come. This guy is electric. Crowder is also a player to keep an eye on. I personally think he will out perform Garcon in fantasy points this year.

Josh Doctson suffered an injury to his Achillies tendon early May. He was sidelined for last weeks OTAs due foot issues other than the previous Achillies injury.

Doctson is an explosive player who can take the top off of defenses and should be drafted in every league. He could be more productive than Jackson, as Jackson is often injured. Garcon is a better football player than a fantasy asset. Doctson's injury status should be monitored leading up to your fantasy drafts and into the regular season. Nagging injuries lower fantasy ceilings.
