Ben Roethlisberger

Pittsburgh Steelers

Big Ben Could Miss Several Weeks

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could miss between 4-to-6 weeks after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee.

Fantasy Goo: The 4-to-6 week timetable is longer than originally expected, and puts Big Ben's availability for Week 9 in jeopardy. He was originally expected to be ready following the team's Week 8 bye, but that seems unlikely now. Landry Jones will start for however long he is out, which means fantasy owners should downgrade the fantasy outlook of all of the Steelers' pass-catching weapons.

Landry Jones

Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike Tomlin said the team is operating as if Landry Jones will start at quarterback against the Chiefs.

Ed Bouchette stated via twitter "Tomlin: Assuming Landry Jones will be QB this week. See how Ben and Vick are as week goes on"

This is more hemming on what Ben Roethlisberger can do. IF he can perform, then Roesthlisberger will get the start, if not then Jones will start.
