Stefon Diggs

Minnesota Vikings

Vikings Impressed with what they See in Diggs

"He is all over the place", a comment made by the Vikings WR coach George Stewart. Of course, the pronoun in that sentence refers to none other than Stefon Diggs. Last year, due to roster construction, Diggs was forced to play split-end, a position he was not as familiar with. Now with the departure of Wallace and the addition of Treadwell, they are moving Diggs all over and the impressive plays just don't stop.

Fantasy goo: Norv Turner can certainly run a fantasy friendly offense. In Minnesota, the question has really been about the pieces. Perhaps we are seeing that start to come together. I don't think this detracts from Treadwell, I think this will elevate all facets of the Vikings game. One could see Treadwell be the desired man in PPR and Diggs in standard. Treadwell is currently being selected around the 8th in MFL10's and Diggs a round later.

Skinny Post Treadwell

Rookie Laquon Treadwell seems an ideal fit for the game-altering pass play offensive coordinator Norv Turner is associated with. Michael Irvin sliced through NFL secondaries with his signature “Bang 8” route countless times during his Hall of Fame career. “Laquon’s more physically gifted than I was. And he looks to be a real competitor,” Irvin said.

Fantasy Goo: Michael Irvin is well respected for his knowledge of the wide receiver game and judging talent. At 6’2” and running a 4.52 forty Treadwell may remind us of Irvin as Michael did not beat defenses with speed but crafty push-offs which he perfected and the league later banned. Treadwell will need to learn to get open without Irvin’s signature straight-arm. You should never get too excited for rookie receivers for fantasy purposes. There are few Randy Moss monster seasons. The second thing to worry about is that Treadwell will have third year QB Teddy Bridgewater who is not a superstar fantasy QB. Bridgewater has thrown 14 touchdowns in each of his first two seasons.
