Bell Lookin' To Get PAID!

Pyro's take: “Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell will report back to team before regular season kicks off, though it remains unclear exactly when.” Bell values himself at about $15mm per year, your move Rooney.

Fantasy Goo: There is no doubt Bell is an elite RB1 when he is active, this hold-out makes me nervous. He might be staying in shape, but there is no way to really simulate game-speed without actually participating with the team. He missed 3 games last year and came in shredding defenses, but that is much different than missing camp completely.

Bell To Holdout

Pyro's take: Le'Veon Bell reportedly turned down a 5 year extension averaging $12 million per year, and still hasn't signed his tender. Now star WR, Antonio Brown is calling out for the RB to show up and play via Instagram.

Fantasy Goo: The $12 million would make Le'Veon the highest paid RB in the and 50% higher than the current bread winner, LeSean McCoy. To me this says that Lev is going to hold out and is willing to miss regular season games (and paychecks) to receive a massive deal.

Le'Veon Bellcow To Play On Franchise Tag

Pyro's take: Le'Veon Bell reportedly turned down the Steelers 5 year contract that averaged 12 million per year. That number is 50% higher than the next highest paid RB, LeSean McCoy.

Fantasy Goo: This was a ballsy move by Bell, he has stated that he wants to reset the RB market. Adrian Peterson's 2012 was one of the largest RB contracts as he amassed $20.1 million on his base + incentives. Le'Veon Bell is now the #1 player to have in 2017 playing on a contact year under the Franchise tag.

Bell Undergoes Burst Surgery

Pyro's take: Bell has recently stated he believes the AFC Championship would have ended differently had he been healthy so he has a procedure on his groin.

Fantasy Goo: Bell should be able to come back better than ever as the timetable is only 6 weeks. Bell remains one of fantasy's top options and this surgery does not deter fantasy owner from attaining as much stock in Bell as possible.

Tag You're It!

Pyro's take: Le'Veon Bell has been assigned the franchise tag by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Goo: Barring another off-season setback (injury/substance) Le'Veon Bell should assume one of the top overall ADP prospects depending on scoring format.

The Killer Bs Out for Pitt

Pyro's take: Bell, Brown, and Big ben are all out

Fantasy goo: I think Landry is a sneaky start in DFS. I also like Eli Rodgers and even Cobi Hamilton.

Steelers Big Three Out Week 17

Pyro's take: All will rest Week 17 for their Wild Card Matchup.

Fantasy Goo: Eli Rodgers becomes a good play, yet to be seen if they will give the workload to D-Willy or Toussaint.

Le'Veon Bell-cow

Pyro's take: Le'Veon set twitter and the fantasy world on fire last week with his 38 carries, 236 yards, 4 catches for 62 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. Look for the Steelers to put the game in Bell's hands again in this one.

Fantasy Goo: Ben's lack of production versus the Bengals has also trickled down to Antonio as he has managed only four career TDs in 12 games versus the Bengals. As hard as it is to not play Brown, this might be one of those weeks to jump off AB and over the Le'Veon.

Le'Veon Bell the wide receiver

Pyro's take: After just 4 games, Le'Veon Bell is already tied with Giovani Bernard for the lead among running backs in receptions with 30.

Bell has run more routes over the last 4 weeks than many of the top receivers in the league including Julio Jones.

Player with the most yards and yet to score a touchdown? It is not Alshon Jeffery, it's actually Le'Veon Bell #TDregression

So Much For Splittsburgh In Pittsburgh

Pyro's take: Le’Veon Bell creates opportunities for teammates while also creating problems for the opposing defense. Bell finished with 154 yards from scrimmage – 20 carries for 66 yards rushing and nine catches for another 88 yards.
DeAngelo Williams saw only one carry in Week 5 and gained zero yards. He had no receptions and no targets.

Fantasy Goo: Le'Veon is no doubt getting the "Bell Cow" treatment in the steel city while Williams is now strictly a handcuff option. If there is roster space available on your team, he is a good handcuff option for Le'Veon Bell, but at this point he is nothing more. With an increasing number of teams coming up to their bye week, it may be difficult to continue to find roster space for him.
But I urge you as a Bell and D'Lo owner do not drop him as Le'Veon has had durability issues in the past and Williams has proven he can step in and have RB1 production.

Owner 1 says YES!! Owner 2 says SHIT!!

Bell's teammates are certainly ready for his familiar No. 26 to join them, particularly after a three-hour reality check at the hands of the Eagles.

Pyro's take: Bell's teammates are certainly ready for his familiar No. 26 to join them, particularly after a three-hour reality check at the hands of the Eagles. "He brings a lot of energy to the huddle," left tackle Alejandro Villaneuva said.

Fantasy Goo: Owners of DeAngelo Williams will have to move him down in their roster as he is no longer playable unless something happens with Bell this season. As for Le’Veon it is time to break out the party hats because Bell is about to lead many owners to the fantasy playoffs. With an unusual start to 2016 taking place we could use some guarantee plays and Bell is the best guarantee play at RB there is.

DeAngelo the Happy Backup

DeAngelo Williams filling in more than admirably like he did last season.

Pyro's take: DeAngelo Williams filling in more than admirably like he did last season. Williams rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

Fantasy Goo: DeAngelo Williams is a blessing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last year, Williams flat out kicked the shit out of everyone. He is supposed to be too old to do what he is doing but,he doesn’t know that though. He has two more starts before Le’Veon Bell comes back to take the lead back role. I picked Williams up in a league and love it. I also used him in some DFS contests. Play him whenever Bell cannot be the man. It is always a good idea to scope situations like this out before your draft. It can pay off for you. Bell has been a bit injury prone so, Williams could see more work sometime later in 2016. For now, you have 2 more weeks of payoff!

Le'Veon Bell Has Suspension Reduced To Three Games

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pyro's take: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell will have his suspension reduced by one game from 4 to 3, according to Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Goo: This means that Bell will be available for the Steeler's matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. His value goes up slightly, but owners taking him in drafts still need to have a backup plan for the first three weeks of the season. Still, one game is better than none, now all Bell needs to do is keep his nose clean. Otherwise, he will be facing a year-long ban.

2 for the Money

It is the second consecutive season in which the onetime All-Pro halfback will start on the suspended list for violating the NFL’s policy and program for substances of abuse.

Pyro's take: It is the second consecutive season in which the onetime All-Pro halfback will start on the suspended list for violating the NFL’s policy and program for substances of abuse. For the second consecutive year, the league reduced his penalty by one game, but that can hardly be any solace for the Steelers organization. Originally a four-game suspension, the NFL reduced it to three on appeal.

Fantasy Goo: Déjà vu is the phenomenon of having the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has already been experienced in the past. For fantasy purposes 3 games is still better than 4 so you will want to update your tiers with Bell going up a tad. Le'Veon Bell would probably be the first RB taken in most leagues had he just followed the rules. It is not a bad idea to draft Bell in round 2 if you can and then grab DeAngelo Williams later since Williams has been a dominator in his own right in Pittsburgh with the starting role. In 2015 DeAngelo averaged 4.5 per carry and had 11 rushing touchdowns so, maybe you will consider grabbing both of them.

Le'Veon Bell Is Facings A Four Game Suspension For A Missed Drug Test

Pittsburgh Steelers running back

Pyro's take: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is facing a possible four game suspension for a missed drug test, according to reports.

Fantasy Goo: Bell is currently appealing the suspension, but he may have a hard time winning given that he was suspended last year for three games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. This certainly isn't good news for Bell's fantasy outlook, but he could possibly be had at a discount during drafts if he were to miss time. Were Bell to miss games, DeAngelo Williams would become an instant RB1 and worth grabbing in earlier rounds given the circumstances.

DeAngelo Williams To Be More involved In Two Back Sets In Steelers Offense This Season

In an interview

Pyro's take: In an interview with Mike Prisuta, Le'Veon Bell states that he believes that there are "definitely going to be packages where me and 'D-Lo' are going to be out there at the same time". The Steelers are trying to find ways to replace the suspended Martavis Bryant in the offense, and incorporating DeAngelo Williams may be one possible solution. (Steelers.com)

Fantasy Goo: After Bell went down in Week 8 with a knee injury, Williams hit the ground running replacing him, finishing as the RB1 in standard scoring from Week 9 on. If the Steelers are able to find ways to keep him on the field, Williams may hold value other than just being a handcuff to Bell. The situation is worth monitoring.

Le'Veon Ready To Answer The Bell At Steelers Camp

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell

Pyro's take: Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell (PCL/MCL) believes he would be available for training camp. "I'm going to be ready," Bell said via ESPN. "The biggest thing for me is getting mentally ready for getting hit and things like that, and I don't think I'll really get tackled until a preseason game or maybe in the regular season. I don't think I'll actually hit the ground or get tackled. But when that does happen, I'll be ready for it. But cutting, running routes, picking them and putting them on my feet, everything is back to normal." Bell is recovering from a torn PCL and MCL suffered during Week 8 of the 2015 regular season.

Fantasy Goo: Le'Veon Bell is one of the biggest names to watch heading into the 2016 regular season, especially for fantasy football purposes. The elusive running back is expected to be a top-five pick in most fantasy leagues and his injury status and availability for the regular season was a worry for most owners for the majority of the offseason. Bell, when healthy is arguably the top player at his position and should be considered that entering the upcoming campaign. That being said I would highly recommend handcuffing Le'Veon with DeAngelo Williams due to Bell's injury history and the fact that when Williams was in he was an RB1.

Le'Veon Bell Says He Will Be Ready By Third Preseason Game

Le'Veon Bell told reporters

Pyro's take: Le'Veon Bell told reporters that he expects to be ready to retake the field by the team's third preseason game. Bell is recovering from a season-ending knee injury. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Goo: While it's unclear how much time in the preseason Bell will actually see, this news would seem to indicate that he's currently on track to be full-go by the start of the regular season, as many were projecting. As such, Bell will be one of the top RBs selected in fantasy drafts. He's currently a Pyro consensus top tier RB, and that's likely to remain the case unless he suffers an injury setback.

DeAngelo Cleared For Takeoff

DeAngelo Williams / DeAngelo Williams (foot) has been cleared for workouts. Pittsburgh Steelers: @Steelers News

Pyro's take: DeAngelo Williams / DeAngelo Williams (foot) has been cleared for workouts. Pittsburgh Steelers: @Steelers News

Fantasy Goo: So you are looking for someone that your friends will not care to draft? DeAngelo Williams may be 33 years old and frustrated you while he was in Carolina but, while in Pittsburgh he has been excellent. In 2015, Williams rushed 200 times for 907 yards at a 4.5 yards per carry clip with 11 touchdowns! Williams had 4 seasons in Carolina where he averaged 5 or more YPC so; DeAngelo is capable when on the field. LeVeon Bell has had 2 knee injuries in his young career and another will open the door to DeAngelo playing like a RB1 again. PPR alert as well because Williams caught 40 passes for 367 yards last year. If you are lucky enough to have a fantasy league that has “extra” roster spaces I highly recommend drafting Williams late and let him sit. If you waive him you might not get him back and if he is presented the starting gig again you will probably not win him off the waiver wire.

"I haven't missed any drug tests, failed any tests. I am fine."

Le'Veon Bell

Pyro's take: Le'Veon Bell dies reports of skipping drug tests. Mark Madden, of XPXI-TV, claimed that Bell had done just that. Bell was arrested in 2014 with LeGarrette Blount on charges of possession of marijuana and driving under the influence. If guilty, Bell could face a ten game suspension.

Fantasy Goo: Bell has all the potential to be the #1 RB in fantasy. He has proven this and is currently recovering from a torn MCL. DeAngelo Williams stepped up and outperformed his ADP and many analysts expectations. If anything were to come of this, DeAngelo is the RB to own in this backfield and Bell would drop at least 2 rounds in redraft leagues.
