Marquise Goodwin

San Francisco 49ers

High Flyer Getting Grounded

In Garoppolo's three starts, Marquise Goodwin has 29.7% of 49ers' overall targets and 47.8% of the team's deep targets.

Fantasy Goo: He has a high floor and upside, but you’d have to pay me to start him against Jacksonville this week. Jacksonville has allowed the fewest fantasy points to the WR and QB positions this year.

Goodwin in Week 1?

WR Marquise Goodwin – Goodwin is a sneaky play at best as he draws one of the worst matchups of the week against James Bradberry, this matchup grades out as a 30% decrease in favor of Bradberry, there isn’t much need to look any further into this one as if you drafted Goodwin you definitely did not draft him to be a week 1 starter. Stay away from Goodwin in season long and DFS this week as his only chances to be fantasy relevant lie in a long TD play that is not something you want to bet on.

Goodwin, Sounds Good, Looks Good

Joe Fann of __ reports “I'd use a late-round pick on Marquise Goodwin in every fantasy draft. People are underestimating his volume. He won't leave the field.” This is a re-hash of what the reporter wrote three weeks ago, and it was in the newsfeed then. This is a snippet what I noticed then...

Fantasy Goo: Goodwin’s metrics are through the roof. He’s a small fast receiver best comparable to Santana Moss, who coincidently played opposite Garcon in Washington when Kyle Shanahan was the OC. I think I might have found another last round flyer. There's more detail in the last one so scroll way down to get the deep goo.

Brian Hoyer

San Francisco 49ers

Hoyer to Goodwin a Thing?

“I think Kyle has made it pretty apparent that he wants to get big plays,” Hoyer said. “So, he’s going to call them and it’s our job to hit them.” Reports are, “Marquise Goodwin has been San Francisco’s primary contributor of explosive plays. His go-routes and double moves have been devastating, both in 1-on-1 work and full-team drills”

Fantasy Goo: This is obviously the plan, but can Hoyer execute with the receivers that are there? I have no worries that Garcon will get peppered with targets, although there are counter points to that as well.
As I started to berate this report as fluff and knock Goodwin for not even being in our top 72WR, I noticed that Goodwin’s metrics are through the roof. He’s a small fast receiver best comparable to Santana Moss, who coincidentally played opposite Garcon in Washington when Kyle Shanahan was the OC. I think I might have found another last round flyer.

Goodwin to SF

Marquise Goodwin will be joining Hoyer and Garcon as the most recently added 49ers. It's good to see Shanahan putting together a group of his guys without breaking the bank.

Fantasy Goo: Hoyer through his career has been able to support a WR1 in fantasy, but not two top WR's. Don't go into 2017 expecting Goodwin to make an immediate impact barring change.

Goodwin Gets a Boost in 13

With both P HArvin and R Woods inactive, look for Goodwin to get a much bigger slice of fantasy pie.

Fantasy Goo: At just $3,400 on Draft Kings, he is my "WhatchYouTalkinBoutWillis" play. Vegas has this pegged as a high scoring affair in Oakland. Through sheer volume alone, Goodwin has a nice floor and the man can get a long strike from nearly anywhere on the field.

Tennessee Titans

Justin Hunter Joins Robert Woods And Marquise Goodwin In The Bills Receiving Corps

The Bills, who placed Sammy Watkins on injured reserve Friday, claimed receiver Justin Hunter off waivers from the Miami Dolphins. As of now the Bills receiving corps is led by Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin.

Fantasy Goo: A second-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2013, he was a bust there, and he lasted only three weeks with the Dolphins. Ignore for now. Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin are the Bills' starting receivers.
Marquise Goodwin's world-class speed was used on an 84-yard touchdown bomb in Week 2 against my Jets. He's a one-dimensional threat but will likely get more deep shots now that Watkins is unavailable. Robert Woods is the top wideout in the pecking order and is the Bills receiver to own, especially in PPR.

Goodwin is getting better each week

Goodwin was an afterthought in fantasy drafts, and it seems nobody has been paying attention to the fact that I have had him as a waiver wire pick up since week 9. The dude has amazing speed, and with E.J. Manuel back for the Bills there should be even more chances for Goodwin from Manuel's cannon arm.

If you are in a league that rewards for long touchdowns this kid is a potential difference maker, and a great dynasty stash. Marquise has as good if not better speed than Tavon Austin, and with touchdowns of over 40 yards this season he is blowing by defenders. Those three touchdowns have all come since week 6.

Fantasy Inactives for Buffalo

Goodwin and McCoy are officially out.

Fantasy Goo: Gillislee is a great play. He has a 5.7 YPC on a team that runs the ball more than 50% of the time.
