Mike Sims-Walker snuck up on people in a big way over the first part of the 2009 season… unless of course you pay attention to that completely bogus fantasy fable - The Third-Year Wide Receiver Breakout Rule. Even then not many people knew who he was, but because his other hyphenated teammate (Maurice Jones-Drew) is one of the more popular players in the league, MSW started to get some serious attention and would up finding himself smack-dab in the middle of the fantasy map. Those who grabbed him off the waiver wire in the middle of his streak were likely disappointed with his last bunch of games (due to various injuries catching up to him), but Mike did enough during the first half to be remembered. He used his size to get to balls most others can’t, yet he also showed the speed necessary to make the big plays and gain separation from defenders. All in all, MSW did well enough to keep his name on the fantasy radar for years to come.
